On Monday, 26 October 2026, Changpeng Zhao took part in the Nasdaq opening-bell ceremony for BNB Standard, the BNB treasury company formerly known as CEA Industries. Afterwards he wrote on X that when BNB started nine years ago he "never thought I would be ringing the bell for a blockchain token (treasury) on NASDAQ one day" (CZ on X).

BNB Chain's own recap of the discussion after the bell quotes CZ, described there as a core contributor of BNB Chain, saying "Now we're finally merging the two into what we call traditional financial assets, or people call it mainstream finance," and calling tokenized real-world assets "a huge market that requires mainstream finance integration" (BNB Chain on X).

In the same recap, BNB Chain's chief business officer Thomas Chen cited more than $6 billion in tokenized real-world assets, $1.6 billion in tokenized stocks and $26 billion of trading volume last quarter on the chain; BNB Standard CEO Alex Odagiu said the company is "bringing that story to Wall Street"; and YZi Labs managing partner Ella Zhang said portfolio companies are building structured financial products and AI applications (BNB Chain on X).

According to the German-language account Smart Money Crypto, Odagiu has been BNB Standard's CEO since 19 October and was previously a partner at YZi Labs, the family office linked to CZ (Smart Money Crypto on X).
